| Tiivistelmä: | Fruit juices are 100 percent pure fruit juices without preservatives, made from fresh fruit or fruit concentrates. Their market in the UK is examined. The fruit juice market continued to expand in 1991 , with volume sales increasing by 3 percent to 1.2 billion litres. Sales were worth GBP 1.1 billion, only slightly above 1990. Retail prices of pure juices dropped stimulating volume demand. Pure juices and juice drinks are the largest sector accounting for over 90 percent of volumes. Chilled and freshly squezeed juices are fast growth areas. The carbonated juices sector is flat. Overall 3 percent growth in volumes is forecast in this market up to 1996. |
