Tiivistelmä: | The moral dilemmas managers face are, in essence, clashes among four spheres of responsibility: the sphere of private life; the commitments of an economic agent; the commitments as a company leader; the responsiblities beyond the firm's boundaries. Four questions provide a basic framework for assessing possible ways of resolving those dilemmas: Which course of action will do the most good and the least harm? Which alternative best serves others' rights? What plan seems to be consistent with the basic values of and commitments to the company? Which course of action is feasible in the world as it is? The four questions must be asked and answered together because, in crucial ways, they balance and correct each other. |
