| Tiivistelmä: | The pace at which world trade grows increased in the first quarter of 1992: it was in this period 6 p.c. higher than one year before. The overall growth in 1991 was 4 p.c. The trade between the East European countries is not included in these data. Imports into developing countries expanded especially strongly: it increased 11 p.c. in 1991. This can be contributed to the growing demand in the oil exporting countries. Due to the growing demand in these countries the deficit of foreign trade decreased in the industrialized countries. In the meantime, the pressure on the industrial raw material prices has not abated. |
