Tiivistelmä:Association of the Republic of Slovenia with the European Union would have a profound influence on its economic system (economic legislation). The main issue in the economic system of the European Union is freedoms (in this article these are divided into five freedoms, but we can also speak of four freedoms). These are applied in all Member States and partly in Associated Members. In case the agreement on associated or full membership is reached these freedoms would as well be applied in Slovenia. The task of these freedoms is to provide free international flows of labour, capital (factors) and economic results (goods and services).A part of free goods flow is also customs connection. The first part of the article explains the contents of freedoms (including customs connection) and the way they operate.Further on, the influence of the European Union economic system on Slovenia's economic system is examined, also by way of analysis of impacts of the so far reached agreement on cooperation. Finally, the article tries to evaluate whether the closer cooperation with EU would have favourable or unfavourable effects on Slovenia.
