| Tiivistelmä: | With knowledge economy rising gradually and then developing rapidly, there appear a serial of new characteristics in scio-economic development. Knowledge economy as a new economic formation or model is characterized by the following: continuously increased sci-tech input, knowledge industries emerging in large numbers, higher and higher rate of contribution of technological knowledge to economic growth (which will rise to 90% from 5%-20% in the early 1990s), widely applied information technology, integration of science and technology, increasingly obvious function of soft resources and life education becoming the main target. |
