| Tiivistelmä: | This paper incorporates intrinsic motivators within the technology acceptance model (TAM) framework using hedonic and functional contexts to explain antecedents of mobile technology use. The effect of intrinsic motivators and playfulness on user beliefs is analysed. Results show that user playfulness and cognitive absorption influence beliefs. It is also showed that the hedonic and utilitarian orientation of the technology has implications for maximizing use. |
