Tiivistelmä:It is determined which information cues are most important when experts on equal employment opportunity commission /EEOC/ sexual harassment policy make judgements about incidents of possible sexual harassment. It is examined how likely these officers are to define incidents as harassment. The officers are moderately consistent in their judgements. An important finding is that in all the groups studied, people tend to use the same information to judge both whether the incidents are harassments and whether EEOC charges should be filed concerning these incidents. Most officers used three cues to make both judgements: the victim's reaction, the existence of coercion, and job consequences for the victim.
