| Tiivistelmä: | The broad, vague language of the recent Act outlawing discrimination against persons qualifying as disabled could pose problems. The Act defines disability as a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more "life activities" of an individual; or an individual's being regarded as having such an impairment. The Act applies to all employers involved in interstate business and is enforced by the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Hiring standards and procedures should be carefully reviewed to make sure they conform to the Act, and complaint procedures as well. |
