Tiivistelmä: | Quality products and services are essential for firms that seek to compete in global markets. Many experts conclude that a deterioration in the quality od products has significantly eroded the competitiveness of American firms. Since 1987, the US Government has publicly honored companies with, outstanding quality control. The author analysis of the characteristics of the finalists and winners of the Malcolm Baldrige Award can serve as a road map for other companies concerned about quality and ways to improve it. This paper systematically examines the impact of total quality management on the performance of several companies. |
