Tiivistelmä:This article investigates the state of being recovered in the morning as a predictor of daily job performance and daily compensatory effort at work. Ninety-nine employees from public service organizations completed surveys for this research. Being recovered in the morning was shown by hierarchical linear modeling to be positively related to daily task performance, personal initiative, and organizational citizenship. However it was negatively related to daily compensatory effort at work. The relationship between being recovered and daily performance was stronger for persons with a high level of job control.
