| Tiivistelmä: | Activity-related-attention (ARA) is proposed as an intervening variable linking job characteristics to job outcomes. The first two studies assessed construction and validation of the ARA state questionnaire. The third study evaluated the relation between ARA state job dimensions, and job outcomes. It also compared the relative role of attention/arousal vs. the critical psychological states (CPS) appearing in Hackman and Oldham's job characteristic model (1976). |
