| Tiivistelmä: | In some cases, profitability statements do not account correctly for the effects of computer integrated manufacturing. As a consequence, ill-founded obstacles arise by the implementation high technology and automation. On the other hand, a number of effects are overrated or in some cases the partial effects are not assessed because of the lack of insight into the interrelationships. The basics of a cost benefit analysis are reviewed. A few strategic considerations are provided. |
