Tiivistelmä:In many companies sales is the only operation that did not have any help from information services, to automate it at least partially. Now sales is beginning tomove rapidly into automation. For years, building an automated sales system that really boosts productivity has been a difficult job. Now new sales automation tools are helping. The way IBM automated its own sales force is presented as an example for other companies. A list of companies is given which provide sales automation software in the USA. The operation of typical sales computer systems is outlined briefly.
