Tiivistelmä: | The ability of firms to adapt to markets is fundamental to the marketing and strategic management literatures. The concept of adaptive capability focuses around organizational abilities for adapting to particular product-market scopes. Two distinct levels of adaptive capability have been identified, which differ with respect to organizational response to product-market opportunities , marketing activities and speed of response. The companies with high adaptive capability seemingly perform better than low adapters, despite the implication of inefficiency and high costs. Also high adapters seem to have more comprehensive market orientation and decision-making style. |
