| Tiivistelmä: | Empirical research provides evidence that leadership in general and charismatic leadership in particular has a significant impact on organizational performance within a given situation. 9 concepts of charismatic leadership and its variables are presented along the dimensions of a gene- ral leadership model. Based on this overview some critical arguments concerning charasmatic leadership are reviewed. Partly these arguments could be refuted based on an in-depth literature study, partly they were used in order to present some guidelines for the development of a new theory of cha- rismatic leadership and its empirical research. |
