| Tiivistelmä: | Guidelines for managing the evolution of the strategic planning process are presented. Phase in the evolution of the strategic planning process are illustrated. Organizational forces perpetuating bureaucracy are listed. It is pointed out that the shift from a words-oriented to a numbers-oriented planning process gives rise to a false sense of certainty. Some consequences of the misapplication of analytical techniques are presented.The alternative end-states of strategic planning processes are exhibited. Several steps directing the evolution of the planning process toward self-reflecting learning are suggested. |
