| Tiivistelmä: | Up to now, companies have not utilized all the reserves available to them in the mechanical engineering industry and, especially, in the case of NC-machines, NC-centres and other complex manufacturing systems. As a consequence, there are still significant opportunities for savings in time and money. Two case examples give some insight into the potential benefits. A few technological and organizational changes interconnected with the installation of automatic equipments are mentioned. Some necessary changes in employees" training and incentives are also specified. |
