| Tiivistelmä: | The total scale of investment on highway construction this year in China will increase by 12 to 15 percent on the basis of the planned investment of 180 billion yuan of last year, amounting to over 200 million yuan. Last year, 37000 kilometers of highway were built in China, among which the express highways covered 1487 kilometers. At present, counties and villages which can be reached by highways amount to 99 percent and 87 percent respectively. Focal points of this year's construction of highway include: 1. the following-up projects of the 285 key projects determined last year and new projects of main national highways. 2. road network, road facilities and roads to help poverty-striken areas. 3. accelerating the highway construction in counties. |
