| Tiivistelmä: | At a time when industry is overwhelmingly affected by rapid changes in technology, the European Community is faced with the need for determining a coordinated policy for future science and technology or research and development activities as part of implementing the Single European Act and creating an open and free market, supported by a sizeable central budget, in order to equip industry with the tools needed to thrive in the future. The current state of the proclaimed policy is highlighted and some of the problems and the consequences that may ensue are reviewed. |
