Tiivistelmä:Personnel appraisal and qualification at all levels will become an increasingly important task for top management in the future. Mistakes in the appointment of managers are both extremely costly in the short run and disturb the smooth-running of the departments involved. For these reasons new methods of appraisal are needed. For the authors, efficient appraisal of managers' potential is a crucial strategic factor contributing to a company's success. They describe the assessment-centre and illustrate its application with an example from business practice which encompasses not only personnel appraisal but also learning and life career planning.
