| Tiivistelmä: | In half debt cycle the country remains a debtor forever, in full debt cycle it turns at some time into a creditor. A model of half and full debt cycle is given. It depends on the relation between time preference and world interest rates whether a country enters a half or a full debt cycle. Historical examples of both cases are presented. |
