| Tiivistelmä: | The article describes the practice of teaching internal auditing using the audit report. A course in internal auditing should emphasize the audit report since it is the only product of an operational audit. It is declared that US General Accounting Office (GAO) reports are the most widely available, and the most sophisticated. The author argues that a comparison of GAO reports thus exposes the student to the best in audit reports and the variety of subjects audited enhances the image of internal auditing as a profession. The format for GAO Report Project is presented in appendix. |
