| Tiivistelmä: | Parables display a two-layered semantic structure: the signified of the first layer serves as the signifier of the second one. The precept of the parable can be presented as "eternal truth" /axiom/ or as a "case" of a model nature. The article offers an analysis of the logical and narrative structures of various kinds of parables and arrives at the conclusion that the structure of the parable is determined by its didactic goals. |
