Tiivistelmä:Visegrad companies surprised cynics with their export succes in Western Europe. Now many talk wistfully of recapturing the huge Russian market, once potential customers get some money. Meanwhile, a growing number of firms, wary of the obstacles in markets both East and West, are starting to stake a serious claim to the Visegrad market. When Central Europe's leaders, reeling from the collapse of Comecon, decided to create a common market of 65m, the bulk of remaining trade between the Visegrad countries was raw materials and semi-finished goods. The Central European Free Trade Association (CEFTA) removed tariffs on most of those goods in 1993, and trade levels grew slowly.
