| Tiivistelmä: | The changing environment in the world - globalisation of markets, increasing competition, fast changing requirements of customers, environmental regulations - demands a new, adequate strategy for companies.In the long term, only companies, who can overcome the apparent dilemma between quality, costs and on-timedelivery, will survive.Practical experiences show, that Total Quality Management (TQM) can make an essential contribution to regain competitiveness.In co-operation with several universities in Europe, the University of Kaiserslautern is providing a postgraduate study "European Masters Programme in TQM" to reduce the existing lack of information.The European Quality Award, developed and organised by the European Foundation for Quality Management, forms the basis for the courses. |
