| Tiivistelmä: | Since 1978 when China practiced the reform of the economic system and opening to the outside world, its foreign trade has maintained a forceful growth momentum. From 1978 to 1994, the total import and export volume increased from US$ 20.64 billion to US$ 236.7 billion. Among it, the export volume increased from US$ 9.75 billion to US$ 121 billion. It is estimated that the total volume of foreign trade will reach US$ 400 billion up 66.7% in the year 2000 compared with the planned total volume of US$ 240 billion in 1995. |
