Tiivistelmä:Management between Market and Morality. This is a report on an empirical study on the ethical orientations and value systems of Austrian managers, comparing data between 1990 and 1995. Our findings and results are: The belief of Austrian managers in the market and competition is strong. Although the Austrian system of social partnership is highly accepted , state interventions are considered to be contraproductive. The concern for the environment is relatively low and also the percentage of female managers. The institutionalization of business ethics in Austria is not yet very widespread, but we could find quite promising efforts.
