| Tiivistelmä: | This paper compares meliorating behavior with optimizing behavior by producers of a durable good, whose current supply depends on the accumulation of past production. In a duuopoly setting in which rivals adopt Cournot-type conjectures concerning distributive frequencies, it's not possible to derive clear conclusions as to which procedure yields most profit for each firm. The distributive choice problem has been constructed by confronting producers of durable goods with separable markets. |
