Chemtex has set up factories in China for a decade, but only recently discovered the country's fear of foreign machines. That happened late last year, when Beijing published a long list of capital equipment - everything from boilers to turbines - barred from entry unless Chinese inspectors first tour the overseas plants that make them to certify for safety. |
