| Tiivistelmä: | In 1996, the actually used foreign investment and investment projects were all increased obviously compared with last year's. Among them, the proportion of infrastructure projects and large and medium-sized capital and technology intensive projects rose. The introduced investment in the central and western areas increased and its growth rate exceeded the coastal area's. The production and management of foreign-funded enterprises were generally better. In 1997, the overall situation will still be not bad. It is estimated that the total foreign investment will reach US$ 49.5 billion, up 15% over last year. But what we should pay attention to are as follows: guiding continuously foreign investment, shifting the growth mode of utilising foreign investment from being quantitative to qualitative, opening orderly market to foreign-funded enterprises. |
