| Tiivistelmä: | Data covering fiscal years 1992 through 1996 showed a continuing decline in the average R&D intensity (the ratio of R&D spending to total sales) of the Industrial Research Institute member companies that responded to the IRI/CIMS Annual R&D Survey in each of these years. This trend is confirmed for the subset firms that participated in both fiscal years 1995 and 1996. Similarly, the number of people employed in R&D continued to decline in FY'96. |
