Tiivistelmä:The Risks of Outsourcing Certain Activities of Human Resource Management - An Empirical Study. While restructuring, companies are increasingly likely to use the "outsourcing of activities" as a means of improving their competitiveness. This concept also applies to Human Resource Management. Since neither reliable theoretical nor empirical evidence is available, decisions concerning the outsourcing of HRM activities will involve certain risks. The article's intention is to both present and illustrate these risks. Taking these considerations into account, a decision portfolio for the outsourcing of HRM activities has been developed. The paper is based on case studies of 27 German companies. The empirical evidence was derived from the answers obtained by questionnaires.
