Tiivistelmä:All activities involve a combination of the exercise of skill and the exercise of judgment. This paper distinguishes these types of talent along 3 dimensions: the ease with which their exercise can be monitored, the delay before its effects are realised, and codifiability of the tasks involved. It then presents a 2-period model of the allocation of multiple tasks within an organization. It shows among others that the incentives for bundling and separation of tasks within such an organization depend on the relative ease of monitoring of the two tasks, as well as on the extent of correlation btw. the talents they require.
