| Tiivistelmä: | This article examines the effects of a number of personal characteristics (hereafter as: c-tics) on three basic decisions concerning traveling: taking a vacation, visiting either foreign or domestic destinations, and choosing between multi- and single-destination vacations. The study is carried out using multinominal logit models with random coefficients that are estimated by Bayesian procedures. The results indicate that the three decisions are determined by personal c-tics which relate to the destination, personal restrictions, and sociodemographic and psychographic c-tics. |
