| Tiivistelmä: | The purpose of this study is to examine the welfare implications of introducing workfare into unemployment benefit policy. It considers that there is workers who are either employed or unemployed and individuals who are volutarily unemployed. Findings show that the use of workfare activities for unemployment insurance (UI) recipients may enhance welfare by facilitating better insurance against unemployment. |
