| Tiivistelmä: | The board of directors plays a critical role in forming the ethical environment in a company. They are responsible for reforming corporate governance, in which the focus should be more to ethical, not the legal aspects. The underlying assumption is that ethical behaviour, especially that of corporate leaders, leads to the best long term interests of the corporation. This paper describes a code of ethics based on six universal core ethical values: honesty, integrity, loyalty, responsibility, fairness and citizenship. |
