| Tiivistelmä: | The objective of this paper is to analyse information technology (IT) in the domain of knowledge management (KM) and to explain why the technology promise remains unfulfilled. Findings show that IT assimilation and representation of knowledge intangibility and other humanistic cognitive dimensions remain debatable, and the current technology cannot resolve such problems. For IT to be effective for KM it must give up bivalent logic and learn to operate within an authentic continuum. |
