Tiivistelmä:The development of corporate international activity poses the problem of relations between corporations and their subsidiary companies. Focusing the inquiry on 22 case studies of transnational corporations with subsidiaries operating in South Korea, it is shown that neither of two methods of integration (centralization of decision making by basic corporations and standardization of subsidiary companies' activities) is systematically employed. Rather, each component of marketing requires specific approach based on the criteria of global competitiveness and level of adaptation to local markets.
