Tiivistelmä:Inventory costs for a fixed time period have traditionally been determined by allocating total costs per cycle uniformity throughout that cycle as well as partial cycles. This procedure for cost allocation has led to the solution of numerous inventory problems, most notable of which is the anticipated price-increase model. Based on the assumption that standard EOQ inventory model is appropriate, when comparing two out-of-phase inventory models, the issue of real-time inventory costs is addressed. It is suggested that if real time costs are of concern to a company, the described techniques are appropriate.
