| Tiivistelmä: | In this article the authors indicate how observation of practice and reviews of literature on current accounting systems show that the inability to gain access to timely non-routine information is more frequently the rule rather than the exception. The intrinsic problems in traditional accounting seem to limit the availability of management- oriented information. The article explores relevant issues and poses many challenges to academic and business communities. |
