| Tiivistelmä: | The types of technology impacts on business, technology and people's values, innovation, emerging technologies, and the ramifications of technology impacts in the coming decades in different business areas are considered. A model of how technology penetrates into society and the stages it goes through as it is taken up are presented. It is argued that standards are generally necessary for mass markets to develop - once they have developed, however, more sub-products with short S curves may arise - within a long overall S curve. |
