| Tiivistelmä: | The microcomputer represents a breakthrough for improving road traffic information systems. The aim is to create new and better scenarios on how new information systems for road traffic can evolve, what the driving forces are, who can act, who can benefit, what the social prerequisites and impacts are. Creation of scenarios is made, with the assistance of a panel of professionals, researchers and informed generalists, using the widest possible knowledge base, as contact network, on how information technology, communication means, and control systems can reshape future road traffic. The issue studied can be described briefly as how road transport informatics will evolve. |
