Tiivistelmä:Raiders are typically seen as individuals without proper concern for the long term - the villains in a no-win game that will sap the economic strength of the nation. Raiders do keep the existing management team in place - chiefly when they acquire a company or a portion of its assets. This may happen when the company is a subsidiary of a poorly managed parent organization. Here the raider identifies a strategy, creates powerful financial incentives for existing management to build business, and watches closely. So, the raider may be the catalyst for the creation of a new kind of hero - the manager who maximizes value for the shareholder.
