| Tiivistelmä: | Using a sample of medium-sized Swiss industrial firms eight success factors were identified: 1/ focus on special product/market segments; 2/ strong connections to regional markets; 3/ quality consciousness ; 4/high respect of customers' needs; 5/ readiness for innovation; 6/ optimism; 7/ organizational structures being adjusted to the human needs and expectations and giving opportunities for cooperative leadership; 8/morale and employees' identification with the company. Some remarks are made on methodological aspects of excellence research. Content analysis of this investigation has helped to separate effects of locality /Switzerland/ from those belonging to the size of firms under discussion. |
