Opinions about the competitive situations are outlined. The role of foreign exports to the USA is examined. Technology-related issues are discussed. Structural changes in the marketing mix are highlighted. The composite picture developed from the views helps to identify the strategic business areas that international marketers, especially exporters to the USA, should examine before developing their international marketing strategies. Managerial and marketing implications are summarized.
