| Tiivistelmä: | A model based on transaction cost analysis including production cost indicators is developed and applied to explain levels of forward integration within distribution channels in foreign markets. The data necessary to test the model were obtained from a group of Canadian export firms. The results provide support for some of the basic predictions of transaction cost analysis. |
