| Tiivistelmä: | This article provides a perspective to faculty, corporate, trustee governance, stakeholder and amalgam models of university governance (hereafter as UG) among public universities across the British Commonwealth and the United States. Many public universities in the English-speaking world are struggling with crises of confidence. The idea of this paper is to discuss the relation between the good practice and the good governance in UG by boards of governors, regents or trustees. The evaluation of competing trends in models of UG highlights that the suitable governance model depends on context. |
