| Tiivistelmä: | Senior public university financial administrators dedicate a significant portion of their time and effort to the funds management process, in which there are a number of use categories that require financial allocations over time, and correspondingly, there are numerous fund sources. Universities have experienced a trend of decreasing federal, state and local financial support which has placed increasing pressure on university administrators to seek alternative fund sources. The described computer based decision support system provides a comprehensive overview of all university funds by source and needed expenditures, either requested or budgeted, by category of use, and a model for allocating funds form source to use categories. |
