This is the approach increasing numbers of major companies are taking as they find that employees work better if they feel they "own" their work and are not doing it because they are told to or are bribed with lots of money. This management style, which the business schools call empowerment, does seem to have been around a long time under one name or another - and it is now starting to pay dividends. |
