| Tiivistelmä: | This paper addresses the extent to which the increasing demand for corporate environmentalism has penetrated institutions of higher business and management education. The study presents the results of an empirical study in four EU member states, based on an analysis of several thousand pages of material collected from forty business schools and universities, twenty of which were visited and interviewed. The sample of business schools was selected with the assistance of 78 leading European experts in the field of environmental management, thereby ensuring that cases were chosen from the leading edge of curricula greening. The paper concludes that management education has some difficulty in living up to its primary responsibility of "showing the way", and in providing contemporary and adequate management models and tools. |
